Most DPF cleaners on the market focus on soot. But soot isn’t what causes long-term DPF failure.
Ash is.
Ash is the non-combustible residue left behind from oil additives and engine operation. Unlike soot, it cannot be burned off during regeneration. It builds up inside the DPF over time, restricting airflow, increasing backpressure, and eventually leading to costly failures.
